In 2013, the DHR Ministries established an effort to create an Educational Complex in Ibanda, Uganda that would seek to provide necessary resources for children to receive a world-class educational experience. This complex includes a 7 classroom primary school, a library/multi-purpose building, its own kitchen, latrines for boys and girls, a girl and boy dormitory for children who live far away from the school, and an administration building for the local staff and faculty.
The 7 classroom primary school in Ibanda serves as a prototype that was later replicated in Bwondha, Uganda in 2015. Currently that prototype is being replicated once more to build a 7 classroom primary school in the Kamwenge district of Uganda. The total cost of this project is $40, 947.62. Three of Five phases are now complete: foundation, structural brick work, and roofing. Remaining phases are the openings and general finishings. The video shows the progress of this work.
